Cirkla is on a mission to solve this. Cirkla is a sustainability solutions company that helps brands replace plastics with viable alternatives. We are working with some of the leading Fortune 500 brands and SMBs to build sustainable packaging solutions, source directly from manufacturers in Asia, and get products delivered globally.
Cirkla’s founding team has deep domain knowledge & experience in building global businesses. Vaibhav (IITB, Kellogg School of Management), Ankur (IIT Kgp, ISB) and Kapil (IIP Mumbai. NMIMS) have worked across startups, strategy consulting, reputed CPG firms such as Unilever, P&G and J&J, and have built multiple businesses from the ground-up.
Cirkla is HQ’d in the US and has a strong team based in Mumbai, India. We recently closed our seed funding from a global Tier 1 VC.
This role is for a Packaging R & D Engineer, who will play an integral role in identifying innovations in Packaging for Cirkla.
What You’ll Do
● Responsible for independently driving innovations in sustainable Packaging materials
● Identify commercially scalable solutions in each category at the least possible cost
● Develop prototypes for the commercially feasible technology which can be be scaled and meet customer technical standards
● Work closely with research institutes and innovative material supply partners to identify new solutions
● Provide technology inputs and transfer of knowledge to members comprising Sales, Technical Packaging Engineers, and Supply Chain members in a “pod structure”
● Travel to prospective supply partners in Asia and strengthen relationships
Who you are
● 5-7 years of relevant experience in Research and development of Packaging Materials in a high growth environment
● Demonstrable experience in working with Packaging Material Supply partners in Asia who can supply products to the international markets such as North America, EU, and APAC
● Experience in packaging industry is preferred
● Consistent track record of delivering Packaging Projects successfully from designing, development and Quality perspective
● Self-starter, high ownership & hungry for personal growth
● Strong problem solving & communication skills, and ability to deal with ambiguity
