Silgan Plastic Food Containers is a division of Silgan Holdings, a leading global manufacturer of rigid plastics. Their exclusive Rotary Thermoforming technology produces high precision containers suitable for double steam of heat seal closing systems. These containers are specifically designed for shelf-stable food applications, capable of withstanding high temperature and pressure of retorts sterilizers without side paneling or deformation.

To direct and oversee operations at assigned manufacturing facilities ensuring delivery of Safety, Quality,
Service and Cost goals. This will be executed through providing strong leadership to a team of Plant, Quality,
Human Resources, and Scheduling/Warehousing Managers. The Director of Operations will be responsible
for overseeing systems improvement and further standardization of the manufacturing process. In addition
to oversight of Silgan’s current 250,000 square foot production facility in Union, Missouri, the Director of
Operations will have key responsibilities at any additional plants for the Plastic Food Containers division.

Specific Responsibilities:
 Lead plants in addressing improvement opportunities and problem areas for safety, quality, service, and
 Drive development of organizational capability at all plants, including oversight of human capital
planning and goals
 Perform all aspects of human capital management for direct reports including goal setting, improvement
targets for KPI's, salary planning, performance management
 Participate in budgeting process, capital planning, cost take out, staffing, and other elements to ensure
financial and operational objectives are met
 Ensure plant objectives are clear and directly tied to divisional strategies and business plans

Key Deliverables:
 Safety leadership and results
 Delivers plant results (business plan and KPI delivery)
 Drives plant Best Practice sharing
 Oversees effective, cost-efficient planning and utilization of plant manpower, materials and machinery
 Strong human capital planning, development and management for direct reports and assigned facilities


A competitive compensation package will be given, with a base salary in the $150,000-$170,000 range with
additional bonuses, incentives, and a full benefits plan. A relocation plan will be included if needed.
