Job Description:

REPORTING STRUCTURE:

  • Reports into Head of Marketing
  • Reporting team of 1-2 junior packaging executives (3-4 years of experience)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Innovation Projects: Project lead and delivery responsibility for all consumer and customer-facing projects:
  • Coordinate development of packaging in line with customer preferences and desired quality in close coordination with SC, suppliers, Marketing, QA and Operations
  • Encompasses packaging structure and material recommendation and validation, cost optimization, aesthetics recommendation
  • Responsible for project execution in line with best practices; Manage expectations of key stake holders in project team by providing regular feedback on project progress.
  • Drive profitability through key cost optimization projects – deliver cost targets by identifying and executing potential areas of saving
  • Set up and implement best practices and key packaging SOPs and knowledge management systems
  • Effectively interface with stakeholders from Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain and QA
  • Identifying and developing latest technology in the field of packaging material / system
  • Support for handling packaging complaints and implementation of best practices including support to QA team
  • Training and development of Junior packaging executive/s
  • Ensuring team delivery of artwork management and KLD approvals

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Sound knowledge of Rigid & Flexible Packaging, paper boards & secondary packaging.
  • Cost management and vendor development expertise
  • Project Management Skills

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 8-12 years of experience in R&D / packaging development
  • Experience in Food industry a MUST

EDUCATION - Post Graduate Diploma in Packaging Technology or Degree in Packaging Technology
